In 2003, Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder’s 1974 film Young Frankenstein was selected for preservation in the Library of Congress National Film Registry. This iconic piece of American cinema sees a new light thanks To Funko’s Vinyl Sugar, as some of the film’s most beloved characters are transformed into Vinyl Idolz.
An affectionate parody of the classic horror film genre, the film follows Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of the infamous mad scientist , who returns to his family’s estate in Transylvania and begins to resume his grandfather’s experiments in reanimating the dead. Filmed in black and white, and featuring 1930’s era sets, transitions and score, Young Frankenstein carefully recreated the tone and imagery of the Universal classics.
You can now pick up a Dr. Frankenstein Vinyl Idolz figure for your Vinyl Idolz collection, and this one is a good’n, could his hair get any Wilder?!
